BHIM | Bharat Interface for Money

BHIM  (Bharat Interface for Money) is a mobile app initiated by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) to facilitate e-payments transactions in India. This app was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, at Digi Dhan mela at Talkatora Stadium in New Delhi on 30 December 2016. This app has been named after B.R. Ambedkar. BHIM is a UPI based mobile app and you can send or receive money through it.

In BHIM app, you can use almost all Indian bank accounts. You can transfer money with BHIM app on 24/7 including weekends and bank holidays. BHIM is built over the Immediate Payment Service    (IMPS) infrastructure and allows the user to instantly fund transfer between bank accounts of any two parties.

After installing this app in the smart phone, open it and login with the mobile number which is registered with your bank account and set your password. To send money to any other person, verify their registered mobile number. Then you can send money by putting Unified Payments Interface (UPI) pin. If you do not have internet connection dial the USSD (Unstructured Supplementary Service Data) code *99# from the phone and easily transfer the funds.
